It is good to have widely present such kind of materials, but this is not enough. Business Intelligence tools as subsets of Decision Supporting Systems or Management Information Systems can not be analyzed in vacuum. They need to be analyzed in its natural environment, because, by only analyze of BI in its natural environment – corporative environment (resources like experts, administrators, information system, expectations, policy, IT culture and similar) can be seen all pitfalls, dangerous and problems. That’s why so many DWH/BI projects fail, one or more missing links between corporate participants and BI tool will lead into problems. BI in its environment has to function as integreted system, not BI tool as separate system.
